This is a real home IP — not a fake one

Most "residential" proxies on the market are actually datacenter IPs that get tagged as residential by third-party databases. Ours are different — each IP is assigned through an active residential ISP connection, the same kind your neighbor's router uses.

That authenticity is also why these IPs can occasionally go offline — a real home connection isn't a server in a data center with guaranteed uptime. We explain exactly what happens when that occurs further down this page.

Why a residential IP can go offline

Each IP we provide is tied to a real residential internet connection — a router in someone's home, sharing bandwidth the same way your own home network does. That authenticity is exactly what gives these proxies their high trust score. But it also means the IP depends on a real device staying connected.

When that household's router restarts, loses power, or the ISP reassigns the connection, the proxy can briefly go offline. This is normal residential behavior — it's not something we can fully prevent, and it's the tradeoff for getting a genuinely trusted IP instead of a datacenter range. Your IP stays static for the full 30 days, but if it goes offline it typically returns online anywhere from a few seconds to a few hours depending on the household's connection. If you don't want to wait, you can replace it using one of three methods below.

Three ways to replace your IP

Choose how you want your replacement IP selected — control, speed, or simplicity.

AI POWERED

SmartReplace

Our AI picks the best available IP matching your original country, state, and ISP — optimized for quality score and stability before assigning it to you.

PRECISE

AutoHunt

Set your exact filters — country, state, city, or specific ISP — and AutoHunt continuously searches until it finds and assigns a matching IP.

FASTEST

Random Replace

No filters, no waiting — instantly get the next available residential IP from our entire pool. Best when speed matters more than location.

Replacement eligibility rules

Two scenarios determine whether a replacement will succeed — read carefully before clicking Replace.

Newly Purchased IP

1 Replacement is only available within a 2-hour window after purchase.
2 After 2 hours, the IP is locked in and cannot be replaced unless it later goes offline.
3 You must use less than 30MB of bandwidth during that window. Going over 30MB disables replacement — even if you're still inside the 2 hours.
Tip
Use the IP Check button or an external trust-score scanner to verify quality first — checking doesn't count meaningfully toward your 30MB.

IP Goes Offline

1 An offline IP stays offline indefinitely until you click Replace — the 2-hour timer does not start on its own.
2 The moment you click Replace, the same 2-hour window begins — you can pick any new country, state, or ISP.
3 The same 30MB rule applies — exceeding it during the window cancels your ability to replace until the next cycle.
Tip
No rush if you're not ready — the offline IP simply waits for you. Just don't click Replace until you're prepared to follow through within 2 hours.

Common questions

Each IP comes from an actual residential ISP connection — the same kind a home internet subscriber uses. It's not a datacenter IP relabeled as residential, which is why trust scores are consistently high.

You can top up additional bandwidth on the same IP from your dashboard, or simply continue using the connection at a reduced speed depending on your plan settings.

No — replacement is only available within 2 hours of purchase, or after your IP goes offline and you click Replace. Outside of those conditions, your IP stays fixed for the full 30 days.

SmartReplace uses AI to pick the best matching IP automatically. AutoHunt lets you set exact filters (country, state, ISP) and searches until it finds a match. Random Replace instantly assigns the next available IP with no filtering — fastest but least targeted.

The 30MB threshold confirms the IP hasn't already been put into active use. Once meaningful traffic flows through it, the system treats it as "in use" and locks it in to keep the marketplace fair.

Yes — use the built-in IP Check button or any external trust-score scanner. This light check won't meaningfully count against your 30MB allowance.
